A great family favorite! This recipe mixes two of my favorite things….chocolate and Peanut Butter…YUM!!
1 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp of baking soda
1/2 tsp of salt
1/2 tsp of cinnamon
3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup white sugar (granulated)
1/2 cup of packed brown sugar
1/2 cup of creamy peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups of semi-sweet (or dark) chocolate chips
1/2 cup coarsely chopped peanuts (optional)
Combine the flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon in a small bowl, set aside.
Beat butter, white sugar, brown sugar and peanut butter in large mixing bowl until creamy.
Beat in egg and vanilla.
Gradually beat in the flour mixture in to large bowl.
Stir in chocolate chips and peanuts.
Drop dough by rounded tablespoon onto un-greased baking sheets.
Press down slightly to flatten into 2" circles.
Bake in preheated 375 degrees F oven for 7 to 10 minutes or until edges are set but centres are still soft.
Let stand for 4 minutes, remove to wire racks to cool completely.
Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
Try to enjoy once cooled! As they do burn your tongue! lol
